The SL5 Series delivers high-performance tubular photoelectric detection in an M18 cylindrical format, designed for demanding industrial and automation applications. With laser emission, adjustable sensitivity, and optical variants covering proximity, retro-reflective and long-distance through-beam types, these sensors provide versatile object detection, compact mounting, and industrial-grade robustness.

Design & Functionality

• The series uses a M18 × 1 cylindrical housing with a length of ~66 mm (Ø18 × 66) in a plastic ABS/PMMA body — enabling compact installations while maintaining professional sensor performance. 
• Emission is red laser (650 nm, class 1), enabling precise beam focus, high repeatability and visible alignment. 
• Nominal sensing distances vary by model: for example a diffuse-proximity model ~350 mm, through-beam receiver models up to ~60 m, offering long-span detection capability. 
• Adjustable sensitivity via a trimmer is provided in many models, enabling adaptation to varying target sizes and distances — enhancing installation flexibility.
• Protection rating: IP67, ensuring reliable operation in dusty or moderately moist industrial conditions.

Total Crossed Beams

• The SL5 Series ensures a clear and uninterrupted detection path — even when mounting clearance is tight or targets are small — supporting consistent detection and reducing the risk of false or missed triggers.
• This reliability is particularly valuable in high-throughput manufacturing, conveyor installations and packaging lines where detection must be accurate and repeatable.

Beam Pitch Options

• Example: A proximity/diffuse model has a nominal sensing distance of ~350 mm for the SL5-5-C-82 variant. 
• Example: A through-beam receiver model (SL5-5-F-82) shows a nominal sensing distance up to ~60 m. 
• Example: A polarized retro-reflective model (SL5-5-B-92) offers a range of ~12 m in one variant. 
• These variant options allow selection of the model that best suits target size, mounting clearance, background conditions and system speed — offering design flexibility.

Intrinsic Synchronism

• The electronics are fully integrated and self-contained — no external synchronising wiring is necessary — simplifying installation in compact systems.
