The Datasensing CX0 Slim Area Sensors are designed for robust, reliable area monitoring in industrial automation. Unlike traditional photoelectric sensors that detect objects at a single point, area sensors monitor an entire plane—ensuring consistent detection of any object entering the sensing field, regardless of its position or shape.

Design & Functionality

The CX0 series features a slim, space-saving profile and a full cross optical beam configuration, providing maximum detection reliability across the entire monitored area.

Total Crossed Beams

• Ensures that any object breaking the detection plane is reliably detected
• Available in two crossed-beam heights:
  • 160 mm
  • 320 mm

Beam Pitch Options

Two beam pitch configurations are available to suit different application needs:

• 5 mm Pitch
  • Detects very small objects, down to Ø 1.5 mm
  • Sensing distance up to 3 m
• 10 mm Pitch
  • Ideal for standard object detection
  • Detects objects down to Ø 5 mm
  • Extended sensing distance up to 6 m

Intrinsic Synchronism

The emitter and receiver are automatically synchronized through a single connection cable, simplifying wiring and reducing installation time.
