Datasensing NX Series

The NX Series from Datasensing provides reliable area monitoring through a crossed-beam optical architecture in a slim, housing-free format. Instead of sensing at a single point, these area sensors monitor the entire detection plane, ensuring consistent detection of objects regardless of shape, transparency or position.

Design & Functionality

The NX series features a module-style emitter + receiver kit (or single unit for some variants) with a controlled detection height (for example ~130 mm) and beam pitch of 10 mm. Designed to fit into compact installations, the housing-free format allows integration in vending machines, automation cells, conveyors or packaging systems with minimal footprint.

Crossed-Beam Architecture & Medium Resolution

• Crossed-beam layout with 14 or 16 optics for full coverage of the detection zone.
• 10 mm beam spacing enables detection of small objects (approx. Ø 5 mm typical).
• Typical sensing distance is 0.5–2 m, depending on model.
• Rapid switching (e.g., ~130 Hz or response times in µs/ms range) suitable for dynamic applications.
• Robust LED indicators for power, signal and output status; built-in protections for electrical stability.
