Datasensing FL Series

The FL Series delivers reliable long-range photoelectric detection in a rugged M18 “T-style” form-factor engineered for challenging industrial and outdoor environments. With models supporting through-beam sensing distances up to ~30 m, and a housing rated for high-pressure wash-down (IP69K), this series offers extended reach, robust durability, and fast, trustworthy detection in demanding automation systems.

Design & Functionality

• The series adopts a through-beam principle, comprising emitter and receiver pairs, to enable very long sensing distances (for example ~30 m) and stable detection of large or distant objects. 
• The “T-style” M18 optical head housing is built from PBT + PC with stainless-type finish, and is designed for industrial installations including car-washes and outdoor conveyors. 
• Wide voltage range (~19.2 … 28.8 V DC) and integrated protections – reverse-polarity, short-circuit, impulsive over-voltage – ensure industrial-grade reliability in harsh environments. 
• LED indicators for RUN and output status allow quick visual diagnostics of the sensor pair in installation and maintenance phases.

• With the FL Series, the through-beam design ensures a clear uninterrupted detection path even at distances of tens of metres, reducing the risk of missed detection due to ambient light or mechanical interference.

• Standard models achieve a nominal sensing distance of around ~8 m (for emitter/receiver setups) for standard installations.

• These options allow selection based on required span, target size/reflection and installation environment—offering flexibility in system design.

Intrinsic Synchronism

• The electronics in emitter and receiver are internally timed and matched—no external synchronisation wiring is needed—simplifying installation over long distances.
• The time before availability (startup delay) is ≤ 200 ms, meaning the sensor pair is ready quickly for production use.
