Datasensing FF + FFRS Series

The FF + FFRS Series delivers heavy-duty photoelectric sensing in a robust M18 housing designed for the most challenging industrial environments. With models spanning diffuse reflection, retro-reflective, transparent object detection and background suppression, this series offers versatile detection, industrial-grade protection, and long-range capacity for demanding automation tasks.

Design & Functionality

  • The series uses a stainless steel AISI 316L (DIN 1.4404) housing, with a screw-thread M18 × 1 body length ~83 mm typical, enabling installation in tough environments with mounting torque up to 50 Nm. 
  • Coverage includes diffuse-reflection variants (e.g., nominal sensing ~100 mm), long-distance diffuse (400 mm+), retro-reflective, and background suppression (BGS) models with nominal sensing ~30–130 mm. 
  • Models for background suppression (BGS) feature nominal sensing distances of ~30–130 mm, minimal blind zones (~30 mm), switching frequencies up to ~1 kHz and output functions NO+NC. 
  • Output types include PNP NO+NC or NPN NO+NC, switching frequencies ~500 Hz (diffuse) or ~1 kHz (BGS) and response times down to 0.5 ms (BGS). 
  • Protection rating: IP68 / IP69K, approved for harsh industrial and wash-down environments. Operating temperature down to -25 °C up to +80 °C depending on model.
