Datasensing Small Series
The Small Series delivers a highly compact family of sub-miniature photo-electric sensors, engineered for very tight installation spaces, robust detection performance, and industrial-grade reliability. With fixed-focus proximity models (3β50βmm), retro-reflective up to ~1βm, and through-beam up to ~2βm, this series provides exceptional size-efficiency, flexible optical modes, and consistent detection in space-constrained applications.
Design & Functionality
- The housing is extremely small (approx. 8 Γ 23 Γ 12 mm) enabling placement where larger sensors cannot fit β ideal for compact machines and tight conveyor channels.
- Optical variants include:
β’ Fixed-focus proximity models with nominal sensing distances from ~3βmm up to ~50βmm.
β’ Polarised/retro-reflective models with nominal distances up to ~1000 mm (1βm) on appropriate reflector.
β’ Through-beam emitter/receiver models with nominal spans ~2000βmm (2βm). - Switching frequency up to ~590βHz (response time ~0.7βms) in proximity mode β offering fast detection capability despite the miniature size.
- Output logic: Amplified NPN or PNP output with NO + NC available in many variants β facilitating integration into existing control systems.
- Protection rating IP67, making the Small Series suitable for industrial environments with dust or splash exposure β maintaining reliability despite its tiny size.
