The Q50 Series delivers a flexible and high-performance family of cubic photoelectric sensors in a 50 × 50 mm housing, designed for broad application versatility, compact installation, and industrial robustness. With models spanning diffuse reflection, background suppression, polarized reflex, and through-beam detection up to 20 m, the series offers multi-mode detection, selectable logic/output types, and reliable performance across demanding automation environments.

Design & Functionality

• The series features a 50 × 50 mm cubic housing, enabling easy mounting in compact machine areas while supporting M12 connectors or cables for flexible wiring. 
• Optical function variants include:
  • Diffuse-reflection detection up to ~2 m nominal. 
  • Background-suppression (BGS) mode with nominal distances around ~500 mm. 
  • Polarised reflex detection up to ~6 m. 
  • Through-beam/Receiver modes with nominal sensing distances up to ~20 m. 
• Output logic: For DC models, selectable NPN/PNP with NO + NC outputs; for multi-voltage models (AC/DC) selectable NO/NC SPDT relay versions. 
• Switching frequency typical ~500 Hz with response time ~1 ms in many models, ensuring high-speed detection. 
• The housing is rated IP67, making the sensor suitable for industrial environments with dust or wash-down exposure.

• The Q50 Series maintains a stable detection field, even when mounted in compact spaces or with variable background reflectivity or target sizes — reducing mis-detections and improving reliability.

Beam Pitch Options

Intrinsic Synchronism

• The electronics and optics are fully integrated — no external synchronisation modules or special wiring required — installation is simplified and quicker.
• Time before availability after power-up is typically ≤ 200 ms in many models.
