Inductive Cylindrical sensors Analogue S...

Inductive Cylindrical sensors Analogue Series

The Analogue Series are high-precision inductive proximity sensors with voltage (0…10 V) and current (4…20 mA) analogue outputs, offering sensing distances from ~6 mm (M12) up to ~10 mm (M18) depending on model. Designed for continuous monitoring and measurement tasks, they provide fine resolution, high repeatability, and robust industrial protection (IP67) for automation-grade measurement applications.

Datasensing Analogue Series

The Analogue Series delivers advanced inductive sensing with analogue signal output, engineered for applications where continuous position, proximity or measurement feedback is required, rather than simply on/off detection.

Design & Functionality

  • Constructed in standard M12 or M18 cylindrical housings (depending on model), the sensors are designed for industrial durability and ease of mounting. For example, an M12 version offers a nominal sensing distance up to ~6 mm in a compact form.
  • These models provide both voltage (0…10 V) and current (4…20 mA) analogue outputs from a single sensor, enabling integration with PLCs, measurement systems and process-automation feedback loops.
  • The series supports high resolution (≀ 1 Β΅m in some models) and excellent repeat accuracy (~0.3 mm) thanks to high-precision electronics and careful design for temperature drift and ripple.
  • With built-in protections like reverse-polarity, short-circuit auto-reset, impulse over-voltage protection and ripple tolerance (≀ 20%) the sensors offer industrial-grade robustness in harsh environments.

Total Crossed Beams

(Though this term is more typical of optical sensors, here it translates to a uniformly stable detection field across the active area of the inductive sensor.)

  • The Analogue Series ensures a consistent sensing zone across the rated distance, allowing reliable and repeatable measurement even when target alignment or background conditions vary slightly.
  • This results in stable analogue output performance with minimal drift, enabling reliable feedback for measurement applications.

Beam Pitch Options

(Here interpreted as selectable sensing distances/resolution options rather than literal optical beam pitch.)

  • Nominal sensing distances include ~6 mm for the M12 version (e.g., AM1/D2-5H) and ~10 mm for the M18 version (e.g., AK6/D2-5A) depending on mounting and target size.
  • Thermal drift is limited (Β±5 % up to +70 °C, Β±10 % down to -25 °C) and repeat accuracy ~0.3 mm in the example M12 model.

Intrinsic Synchronism

  • The electronics are integrated so that the sensor is ready quickly (time-before-availability ≀ 50 ms) after power-up, enabling fast system startup and minimal delay.
  • No special external synchronising wiring is neededβ€”the sensor behaves like a standalone measurement unit with analogue output, simplifying installation and reducing error.

Operational Advantages

  • High Precision & Analogue Feedback: The Analogue Series gives continuous measurement output, not just switching, enabling use for thickness monitoring, positional feedback, level sensing or highly precise automation tasks.
  • Flexible Integration: With voltage and current output options, standard cylindrical form-factors (M12/M18), and robust protection, the series adapts to a wide variety of machine-automation, process-control or measurement tasks.
  • Applications: Ideal for applications requiring analogue measurement: machine tool positioning, level detection of metal parts, thickness or clearance monitoring, automated quality control and feedback to PLCs or control systems. The sensors are especially suited where precise measurement, repeatable analogue output, and industrial durability are required.
