The US18 Series provides a comprehensive family of ultrasonic sensors, engineered for reliable detection of objects, transparent or shiny surfaces, and distance measurement in harsh conditions. With axial or right-angle housings, configurable outputs and fast teach-in setup, the US18 Series delivers outstanding measurement accuracy, material-independent detection, and installation flexibility across industrial, packaging, automotive and intralogistics environments.

Design & Functionality

• The US18 sensors utilise ultrasonic waves rather than optical reflection, enabling detection of transparent films, liquids, dark or shiny parts, and objects with varying reflectivity. 
• Key features include:
  • Wide operating range, from approximately 200 mm up to 8 m depending on model. 
  • Analogue output models (0-10 V / 4-20 mA) and digital output models (PNP/NPN NO/NC), enabling both distance measurement and discrete switching. 
  • Push-button or remote teach-in enabling quick setup without external tools or potentiometer adjustments. 
  • Temperature compensation for consistent performance across –20 °C to +70 °C, reducing signal drift over a wide temperature span. 
  • Robust industrial housings (M18 tubular or angular formats) with IP67/NEMA 6P-rated protection for harsh production environments. 
• The US18 Series is suitable for high-speed conveyors, packaging machines, automotive assembly, material handling and any application where accurate ultrasonic sensing is required.

Intrinsic Synchronism
