The DS4 Standard Series delivers premium detection and measurement capabilities in industrial automation by monitoring whole vertical planes rather than single points. This ensures reliable detection of objects regardless of shape, size or transparency, and enables dimensional measurement across height-fields.

Design & Functionality

The DS4 Standard sensors feature a modular emitter + receiver bar architecture with selectable controlled heights from 300 mm to 3000 mm, and beam pitch options of 5 mm, 10 mm or 25 mm. They support high operating distances—up to 13 m in optimal conditions. Their housing is industrial-grade aluminium/PBT with refined optics and protection rating suitable for demanding applications.
 

Advanced Beam Matrix & Measuring Capability

• With 5 mm pitch variants, the system supports fine resolution and object detection down to approx. Ø 3.5 mm with augmented resolution mode.
• With 10 mm or 25 mm pitch variants, the system supports greater height or range while maintaining high performance.
• Nominal sensing distances up to 13 m relevant for large-scale conveyors or pallet systems.
• Embedded functions include transparent object detection, pattern matching, blanking zones, remote teach-in (via IO-Link or App GUI) and analogue/digital outputs for measurement integration.
• Communication protocols include IO-Link V1.1, RS-485 and Ethernet TCP/IP on specific models, enabling configuration, remote monitoring and advanced diagnostics.
