The CE Series delivers versatile and reliable capacitive proximity sensing for industrial detection tasks across a wide range of materials—solids, liquids and powders. Models provide adjustable sensitivity, complementary outputs (NO + NC) and options with self-monitoring to enhance system safety and diagnostics. 

Design & Functionality

• Housed in a stainless-steel cylindrical body (Ø 20 mm), the CE Series is built for harsh industrial conditions and tight mounting. 
• Its sensitivity adjustment (via trimmer) enables fine-tuning of detection thresholds to suit different materials or mounting backgrounds. 
• Available with or without self-monitoring functionality, allowing increased reliability and early fault detection in critical automation installations.
• Output configuration: dual complementarity (NO + NC) ensures flexible integration into safety/monitoring systems.

(Note: As this is a cylindrical capacitive sensor rather than an area sensor, the equivalent concept is the stable capacitive detection field across the end face.)

• Ensures the sensor detects any object entering its field reliably, regardless of slight positional variation or material composition.
• Supports consistent performance even in applications with transparent, irregular, or mixed-material targets.

Beam Pitch Options

(In the context of the CE Series, this corresponds to the selectable sensing distances and resolution of detection.)

• Nominal sensing distances range from approximately 1.5 mm up to 10 mm, model-dependent. 
• Repeat accuracy is high (≈ 5 %) and thermal drift is limited (< 20 %), which helps maintain stable detection over time and temperature variation.

Intrinsic Synchronism

• Built-in electronic mechanisms provide reverse-polarity protection, short-circuit auto-reset, and high ripple immunity — reducing installation faults and boosting reliability.
• The sensor supports a fast time-before-availability ≤ 200 ms, ensuring quick readiness in automated production starts. 

Operational Advantages

• High Switching Frequency: Up to ~300 Hz in certain models, enabling use in faster automation tasks.
